DC Comics Unveils New Digital Comic Store

Stepping up to take advantage of modern technology, DC Comics has fulfilled their plans to retail comics to the online world. Newsarama reports:


"We've made sure that our storefront is powered by ComiXology," co-publisher Jim Lee posted on DC's "The Source" blog today, "which means if you buy a DC digital comic like the chart-busting Death of Superman on your Mac or PC at home, you can read the very same series on-the-go using your iPhone, iPad or laptop, using our DC app, without paying a penny more or creating any new logins. Or vice versa."

"We call it convergence. You will find it simply easy," Lee said.

This "convergence" is something DC's rival, Marvel, doesn't have between web and hand-held platforms, instead offering a subscription service on Marvel.com that is separate from its other digital comics. John Rood, DC's executive vice president of sales, marketing and business development, pointed out that difference to Newsarama earlier this year.

"Consumers have told us that convergence matters a great deal, and they've told us by their words, and they've told us by what they've chosen not to subscribe to," Rood said.

Today's DCComics.com storefront launch included several new titles, like Dark Knight Returns, Identity Crisis, Death of Superman, Transmetropolitan, The Invisibles, The Authority, Superman: For Tomorrow and 100 Bullets. The web-based store also offers all DC titles that were already being offered on the ComiXology platform via iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

The selection of new titles that are launching the site — which includes several different genres — lines up with DC's ongoing strategy toward the digital audience, approaching it as a more mainstream market.

"We spent a lot of time coming up with a pretty diverse slate," Lee said of the comics offered on its digital outlets. "If you look at the offerings, it gives you a peek at the sort of thinking we have as we jump into the digital arena, and who we think the digital consumer is going to be. We think that consumer is not going to be one category of early adopters."

The new DCComics.com storefront will also include the bi-weekly Justice League: Generation Lost, which is being released at the same time as its print version — something that has been in place since June on other ComiXology platforms and the Sony PlayStation Network. (Marvel has also released day-and-date titles, though sporadically, and the Image title Walking Dead is currently available digitally as a day-and-date release.)

DC Entertainment representatives have maintained that they do not intend for digital sales to take away from existing sales of print comics, calling its digital initiative "additive." To emphasize this point, DC announced that representatives from the retailer organization ComicsPRO were consulted before the initial digital launch in June.

But DC also said in June that it planned to eventually launch a "retailer affiliate program" that would offer a way for brick-and-mortar comic stores to benefit from digital sales. As of today's DC storefront announcement, the publisher has not defined what that affiliate program will be, and there's no official word on whether the DCComics.com store will be included in that program.

Today's launch of the DC website store also further enhances ComiXology's leading position in the digital comics industry. Both Marvel and DC have chosen ComiXology as a partner in their digital program, and the company is working with more than 30 other publishers, as well as holding exclusives with more than one creator, via its Comics by ComiXology app and ComiXology website.

This is great news for all the comic fans (like myself) who read a lot of online comics and could use an alternative way to grab the weekly helping. But, I've said it before, nothing ever really beats the real thing. The smell of the pages, the feel of the glossed cover and the stiff binding the first time you open it...uh...

... ahem...

Zooey Deschanel Might Be In "Spider-Man" Reboot?!?

Casting news keeps heading our way as the Marc Webb-helmed "Spider-Man" keeps moving forward. The latest rumor is that Zooey Deschanel (Lots of movies, she's gorgeous, moving on) might be playing the role of Betty Brant, Peter's first girlfriend and co-worker at the Daily Bugle.

"He wants a strong performer to carry the role and Zooey fits the bill perfectly," an alleged insider tells Showbiz Spy. "The role is hers if she wants it.”

It's far from confirmed that Brant will have a role in the next "Spider-Man" movie, and even less certain that the role would go to Deschanel. But the character has had a role in previous Spidey flicks, albeit a small one, played by actress Elizabeth Banks.

Now I love me some Zooey, she's awesome. Do I really see her as Betty Brant? No, but do I care? No. I'll watch her in pretty much anything. Webb allegedly has plans for Betty in the reboot, so maybe we'll see some Ned Leeds/Hobgoblin? Nah, i doubt it. 

She joins the rumored casting of John Slattery (MadMen, Iron Man 2) / Sam Elliot (The Big Lebowski, Ghost Rider) as J. Jonah Jameson, so time will tell on this one.

SupaScoot's Action Comic Talk!!! Marvel Teasers...

Happy Remembrance Day and welcome to Action News. Today we are going to talk just a little comic talk, because that's what I do, so if you didn't realize that by now take off, eh?

Primarily we are here to talk about teasers, because Marvel goes apeshit over teasers, whether it be to push a new storyline, book, or character, they love their teasers. So I'll show you a couple of the more recent ones to hit the 'net.

First off let's talk X-Men. At any given time there are 3 or 4 running teasers going about the newest developments in the Marvel's mutants. Somebody is chasing the 90's X-Market, but they will unfortunately never get back to that, not for their lack of trying. The most recent teaser is for the Age of X storyline/new comic by Mike Carey:

Marvel has added MAGNETO & CANNONBALL to their Age Of X teaser image, joining GAMBIT, HELLION, BESERKER, NIGHTMARE, BASILISK, and FRENZY

Not to be outdone on the Spider-man side of Marvel, because they haven't done enough crazy storylines lately (Brand New Day, Big Time) they have released this latest teaser, I'm sure to just get everybodies attention for a story that won't add up to the tagline:

Scared yet? Marvel has offered "No Comment" on this cover of Previews that came out, but it's a pretty obvious attention grabber.

So I'm sure there are another 800 teasers and comic stories to look at but I'm having a kind of summarized day so more later, if your lucky.

Conan's 20 Funniest Moments On TV

A collective weeping caused the earth to get a little less funny when NBC booted Conan O'Brien off of his dream gig The Tonight Show to be replaced by *shudder* Jay Leno. So when it was announced that he would be premiering his new show on TBS, the collective cries of joy from TV watchers who actually enjoyed comedy on television rang out loud and strong. In honor of the premier of Conan tomorrow night (check your local listings, do I have to tell you everything?) Gorilla Mask (a great site for anything and everything) has found a collection of the 20 funniest moments in Conan O'Brien history.

Spider-Man Reboot Adds More Cast Members

Good afternoon, I'm SupaScoot, and you've tuned into Action News!!! This segment is brought to us by Michael Bay and the letter...

A few more important roles have been cast in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot directed by Marc Webb. Some might even say that these are two of the most important roles, as they do raise the boy into the hero he becomes. Uncle Ben and Aunt May are in final negotiations to appear in the film. Let's start with Uncle Ben, the man behind Peter Parker/ Spider-Man's life motto.

"Oh Charlie, what have you done now?"

Martin Sheen is in final talks to portray Ben Parker in the reboot. Hmmm, so the father of Charlie and Emilio is the one chosen to raise one of the greatest superhero's ever!!!! (I'm a bit of a fan)

WTF?!?

So I  kid here because I'm a big fan of Martin Sheen... shit, I'm a huge fan of Charlie Sheen, and Emilio doesn't count cause he has a different last name, natch. This casting is a bit of a far cry from Sam Raimi's casting of Cliff Robertson as Uncle Ben, who was great. But then I think of Sheen Sr. in Wall Street, and I can dig it. Now on to Peter's beloved Aunt May...

It's Smokey! Or is it the Bandit? I can never remember...

Sally Field is reportedly in talks to portray Aunt May alongside Sheen. I have nothing bad to say about this...I really don't. Would you question Mrs. Gump? I don't think so. She can handle Spider-Man.

They will join the cast of Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Petey/ Spidey, Emma Stone (Superbad, Easy A) as Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans (The Replacements, Little Nicky) who as far as I knew was playing the yet-to-be named villain, however I just noticed that IMDB has listed Ifans as playing the role of Dr. Curt Connors/ The Lizard. Interesting. 

I have to say, I am a little troubled by this movie, but I'm still grateful for the chance to keep seeing Spider-Man on the big screen.

This just in, it seems that Stan Lee himself has arrived at the airport with his thoughts on the recent casting decisions. Let's go to Ollie Williams on scene. Ollie?

Captain America: The First Avenger Photos!

The race for the casting of Steve Rogers in the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger directed by Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park III, The Wolfman) had a lot of ups and downs, and nobody seemed to be able to agree on who should play the star spangled hero, leading to many heated debates on nerd boy comment boards. And then the lead was chosen, and the nerd world finally united... in potential disappointment. Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, The Losers) was offered the role and he accepted. Again, debates ensued. Nobody really knew what to think.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have a crazy hate on for Evans, he's funny and he does well in the roles that suit him. I mean, his turn as Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (which was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, hands down) was hilarious. But I just didn't know if he could pull off the Sentinel of Liberty, I mean, those are some pretty big combat boots to fill.

But I'm still uber-excited for this movie, and some recently released pics certainly help me believe that Evans might be able to pull this off. Plus the costume looks pretty cool: But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself.

If the movie hits, I’m f—-ed!’” After declining the part three times, Evans took a meeting with Marvel execs and Johnston and was dazzled by their plans for the movie. He still felt wary about suiting up for Captain America — but then he had an epiphany. “I was just scared,” he says. “I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear.’” Evans signed a six-picture deal with Marvel to play the character, and he has no regrets: “I can’t believe was almost too chicken to play Captain America.”

6 picture deal! Dollah Dollah billz, y'all.That would be 3 Captain America and 3 Avenger's movies, for those wondering. Still, they gave Sam "Bad Mutha Fucka" Jackson a 9 picture deal as Nick Fury, so I'm not surprised. There's also a lot of photos including Haley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Hugo Weaving as Johann Schmidt/ Red Skull, and Toby Jones as Dr. Arnim Zola:

"No really, that was some other guy who played Human Torch. Why does everybody keep asking me that?"

What do I love? COMICS! Anything else? Clearly I like to write. So why not combine that with fellow like minded individuals and write some comics in a community! But I wont go crazy talking about it, they already explained everything for you:

Imagine you were a superhero on a team… You can only call the shots on what you do and what you say. But what about the other heroes? Will they respond the way you want them to?

Well, that’s that this blog is about.

The story is based on a team of superheroes in the Washington, DC area.  The Urban 30.  This independent organization works hard at keeping the peace.  (Most other hero organizations are government funded and are a satellite of something larger.)  Under the supervision of Tony “Dispatch” Gamble, the team learns what it means to be heroes and be a team – all the while, being themselves.

Sonus, Elemental and Hitman lead the latest roster of the team.  Though some members may come and go, it seems there is a core group of heroes willing to stick it out.  What’s unique is that each hero has its own writer… and sometimes, they don’t agree.  When you read this blog, you get to see first hand how the team members think and feel.  You also get to see how they react to any situation – whether at a party, the club, the day job or fighting crime.

You might like what you read… then again, you may love what you read!

So I told you last blog that I would be putting up some articles I had put together for the launch of Grizzly Bomb, but unfortunately it was put on hold and I'm left with articles that can't be put up due to the time restricted nature of news entertainment websites. So since i hate putting work into something that will just be wasted, here's my write-up about the (at the time) forthcoming season of Eastbound & Down:

Now why would I be talking about Kenny Powers on a site dedicated to Heroes, Villains and Everything In Between? Because Kenny Powers is my hero, your villain, and the general populations Everything in Between. So sit down, shut up, and don’t ever tell me how to live my life again.

If you haven’t seen, or even worse heard of Eastbound & Down, starring Danny McBride (Pineapple Express, Hot Rod, Tropic Thunder) than I suggest you give up on television altogether because you are missing out on the good stuff. It’s a story of Kenny Powers, ex-MLB pitcher clinging to his fame, who is forced to take a job as a high school gym teacher in his hometown. As you can imagine, hilarity, and at times utter depression, follows.

Season 2 is set to begin on Sept. 26, and I can’t wait. But you don’t need me to ramble on; we got videos for that.

Holy War...The Blog Is Back!!!

What's up Bloggers? Man it has been a long time since I have graced the interweb with my thoughts and opinions...and it'll still be a bit until you recieve any coherent thoughts concerning...well...anything. I just wanted to drop a quick note down as to what's going on with Scoot lately. So here it is.

Nothing...

That's right, not a whole lot going on that I can talk about. If you read the last blog it stated that our new site, http://www.grizzlybomb.com/, will be up and running soon. Unfortunately, we just couldn't get it quite the way we wanted with the funds we had available so that project is on hold for the short term while we all focus on other things. I would be more upset about this if I had the free time to think about it, but unfortunately I feel as if I'm being pulled in a whole lot of directions lately.

What kind of directions, you ask? Well, I'm not going to get into any specifics, but girl issues, home issues, and my personal issues have been occupying me, so not having the added stress of my editorial duties has been a bit of a relief. Unfortunately, it also means that I haven't been writing like I need to be. But on the other hand, I seem to be developing what some of the youngsters of the day like to call...a life.

As crazy as that sounds, I may or may not have accidentally developed a social life. Most of my friends can attest to the fact that socially I am a bit of a recluse, and am probably the worst at staying in contact with anybody. Apologies all around, I may just be a little scatter brained so if you feel like I've shafted you, then I apologise for it's unintended emotional damage.

I know my roommates are going through withdrawal without me at home all the time, mainly because that guy who is always there hasn't been there lately. But I'm sure they get along fine without me there to turn off the lights or crack a funny joke at the most inopportune time. Things change with time, and I think I might have realized that I need to change along with it, because I am getting older, and life is too short to spend cooped up at home in the basement on the internet  while watching old episodes of Gargoyles and Boy Meets World. Yea, that's right. Don't act like your not impressed...

Anyways, I will try and keep my blogging a bit more frequent so my 2-3 readers can kill 5-10 mins of thier workday here and there. I do what I can to help, time wasting is a skill and needs to be encouraged, so allow me to waste some of your time a couple of times a week.

Also since we are not working on the website right now i might throw up a couple of stories here and there that I have been working on just so they don't go to waste. It's my blog, I'll do what I want.

If your wondering why this blog is titled "Holy War" I'm not trying to start a jihad or offend anybody, it's from one of my favorite TV series, Community, which if you aren't watching this season you will be put into a burlap sack and beaten with reeds because you don't appreciate good television.

So here's to trying to keep a blog going with as little months long intervals as possible...

Quick Blog...New Site Coming Soon!!!

Hey everyone! And by everyone I mean the 2 or 3 followers who read my blogs, this is just a quick little blog to share some news. My last blog (the one under this one, natch) was basically a long winded explanantion of why I started a blog/why I no longer write for Bam!Kapow!. Well, I decided to take a look at B!K! today to see what's what, and the site was given a total overhaul and an upgrade, something we had been waiting to get for months!! So as the rage settled down, I talked to my editor and found out that our new site is finished!!! Not finished as in it's up and ready to go, but finished as in I can finally get back to work and start writing some articles for when it goes live!! So if I don't post for the next few days it's only because I'm busy trying to gather all my writers again and get some articles ready for when the site goes up. Ill put more info here when we are ready to go.

Why I Started A Blog... Or How I Failed As A Writer

Now I've been getting a lot of questions lately that sound like:

"Hey Scoot, we love the blog, but why did you start one?"
...or
"Don't you write on the internet enough as it is?"
...or
"Seriously dude, 'All You Can Eat' is really more of a suggestion than a rule..."

Okay, well that last one wasn't a question, more of a really hurtful remark, but either way, I'm going to use this blog to answer, well, the first 2 questions. And by answer I generally mean cause even more questions and maybe rant nonsensically for a while. Yea, that's a word.

So I started this blog because I am a writer. I love to write. I have ever since i was just a wee little lad writing short ghost stories, or coming up with comics in my head that were usually way better than the ones I was reading. And while I ultimatly would love to write fiction in the form of novels, I currently haven't finished a single novel that I've started. And oh, how I have started some.

Here's a list of some of my novels that I started and for some reason never finished:

Lifeline (Or something like that)- The story of a teenager who's brain is evolving and the psychic connection he makes with the beautiful girl next door, while a sinister government agency tries to track him down and use him for evil... Yea, this one i finished, but it was with a to be continued so is it really finished? No...
Beautiful People - The story of a timid music professor who moonlights as an "aggresive observer" (stalker) until the night the person he follows ends up dead, and he is implicated in the murder... My computer crapped out and I lost the first 7 chapters, and jus't couldn't really get back into it
Meet God - The story of an average Joe who dies and goes to Heaven, only to realize that he is in the midst of an election to see who will become the new God, or the new Devil. This one never really got off the ground, just a quick write up and "storyboard" and then I moved on
Untitled Beatles Romance Novel - The story of a boy and a girl on a trip across the planet to popular Beatles stops, where love can't be far behind...I just really wasn't very good at writing romance
The Z List - The story of a group of survivors in a dystopian future wasteland, and how they survived amidst nuclear war, starvation, other survivors...and zombies. This one I am still currently working on, so I can't say for sure that it will go unfinished as I am making good headway on it

The point of this was I realized that while I love to write, I don't necessarily have the commitment to write a 500-1000 page masterpiece. Which is when I started writing for Bam! Kapow! Now for those of you unfamiliar with B!K! this was a site dedicated to covering news about heroes, villains, and everything in between. That meant superhero movies, comic series, funny web comics, anything and everything we could tie to a superhero.

When I first started at B!K! it was by myself, and i sent in a few opinion pieces to the editor-in-chief and then he sent me a few stories, and then I stopped writing for a couple of months. Then I came back to B!K! and started covering a lot more news stories with a lot less opinion articles. I soon became frustrated with the EIC as I would send stories and he wouldn't put them up, or he failed to notice when he sent the story to more than one writer and would generally ditch mine in favor of his friends. Whatever, it was his site so i wasn't going to argue. That led to my second hiatus from B!K! as I felt I was putting in a lot of work and not seeing anything in return. Then a few months later I noticed that a fellow writer at B!K! who had joined a month or two after me was the one and only poster on the site, taking care of every news story and opinion piece all by himself. So i wrote him asking if I could again start contributing, and he told me HELLS YES as the EIC was no longer working on the site, and had given my fellow writer editorial control for the time being. And thus began a new era of B!K! where somebody was actually in charge who cared about the site and actually tried to accomplish some things. And from that point on I never had another hiatus, as I worked very well with my fellow writer/new editor.

We carried on that way for a while, with another old writer and a slew of new writers that we brought in ourselves, and eventually my Editor (not the EIC but the fellow writer) taught me how to post and i became the Assistant Editor, which felt great for me. I got less writing done, but what I was able to do was on my terms as I had control over the entirety of not only my articles but the other writers articles as well. We worked this way for almost a year, and had really gotten a great network of writers together, when my editor let me know that he wanted to buy B!K! but was rebuked by the EIC (who hadn't done anything worthwhile on the site in months) this left both of us feeling a little let down by our EIC. Well, it wouldn't be the last time.

We continued our work on B!K!, introducing new features that were loved by readers, and moving on from our superhero inspired news site into a straight up fan site that was feeling a little boxed in by our specific criteria. So my Editor than confided in me that he was starting a site of his own, and asked if I wanted to come along as the Comics Editor (as we had more to cover than just superheroes now) to the new site. The answer was a quick yes, but unfortunately as with most things they are never ready when you want them to be, and we are still currently waiting for the site to be finished.

And then it happened about a month ago, our EIC said he was coming back full time to B!K! which we thought would be fine as long as he worked comfortably with our system and our writers. But no, as soon as he logged back in he wanted us to start running all articles through him, as well as pretty much replacing our entire "staff" with his own. He wiped my editor off the site and didn't leave much for me to do, let alone the new writers we had brought in ourselves who had no previous contact with the EIC. Now I'm not bitter or angry or anything, it was his site, and it was well within his right to take it back. But how about a thank you for all the hard work, or even an extension to our writers to continue contributing to the site, but no, nothing.

So why did I start a blog? Because I miss being heard on the internet. I won't go so far as to say I was famous or anything (but if you google SupaScoot I'm like 7 out of 10 hits) but I definitely missed the daily grind, getting the scoop or being scooped, and all the collaborations with my fellow writers. Plus I needed another outlet to keep from going insane. So here we are now, still waiting for the site to be ready, and i started SupaScoot In A Nutshell to satisfy my own sick desire to be heard by strangers through the computer. And to vent every once in a while. Now I hope I don't get in any trouble for talking about these issues that we had with B!K!, I'm not dropping any names, but it does feel good to answer a few questions there, and if I caused more questions, fell free to leave a comment! And be on the lookout for our brand new site coming hopefully as soon as effin possible.

What I did on my day off... Beware the epicness

Hey y'all (Look at me acting like i have readers)  not much going on right at the moment so I thought I would take some time and throw up another blog. I'm just going to talk about my day, as event filled as it wasn't.

So first of all, I don't generally work Fridays. I work for my brother at a bottled water store called Claysmore Spring Water and am lucky enough to have a 3 day weekend...all the time.  So to start off how my day went I have to let you know about a very epic LRT trip I had on the way home on Thursday. At the U of A LRT station, you have to take two long escalators down to the platform. Up at the top of this trek you can hear the bell that signifies the LRT's arrival, and you have about 20 seconds to get on the LRT. Well. I was just stepping on the  first escalator when the bell went off. So I hurtled down the first set of escalators, pulled a power turn onto the second step, hurtled down the second flight, nearly jumping a group of tiny Asian schoolgirls, and when i reached the bottom of the escalator, the final bell went that signaled that the LRT was pulling away, I power slid across the platform and jumped onto the LRT as the doors started to close behind me. I locked eyes with a couple of the passengers as i slid on and the doors closed behind me. It was pretty amazing, and i could tell everybody was impressed (or not, but it sounds better if they were) until I tried to walk away to a seat, and realized that my jacket was caught in the doors... It was epic.

Anyways, here's what I did on my day off. I ran errands. It was not as epic as my LRT Power Slide Entrance, but it was fun. My roommate and I had a few mutual stops we needed to make so we figured what the eff, we might as well do them together. So first we went to the bank, but he forgot his wallet so we went back to the house. We then went to the bank, where i deposited a check, and my rm broke his bank card. So we figured no biggie, we are here, he might as well get a new bank card. 30 mins later and he had a new card, account, blah blah blah. So already we were running behind schedule. Time for breakfast at Ricky's, which was right beside the bank luckily. So we head over there and fail to notice the sign in the window that says it's under renovations, so we spend another 5 mins whining about how the place was closed until we found the above-mentioned sign. So we head to a different Ricky's, gorge on some omelets and got ready to finish the day's tasks. As my rm started explaining his previously un-mentioned "list" I realize too late that my hour of errands is slowly turning into a day of errands. But I like to roll with the punches, so fine.

We head to the most hated mall in Edmonton, Mill Woods Town Center, and stop by Murray's for a mediocre but cheap haircut. So this is pretty much where we meet the last of my list... the only thing I have left to do is purchase a video game. My roommate still had like 20 things to do . So I go pick up my video game, taking my time because anybody who knows my roommate knows that he can take absolutely forever to do one thing. Oh yea, I got Dante's Inferno, awesome but creepy:

So i head back to my roommate, who is now shopping for things that were not on the list, and i convince him through sheer crazy eyes that maybe it's time to go. But no, we then head to payless shoes and I decide what the hey, I do need a pair, might as well.

$30, ya can't really go wrong. My roommate thought so too, because he picked up 3 pairs of shoes. 3!!! Anyways, the hour of errands turned into 6 hours of errands, and that is how i spent my day off. Now you are as bored from reading it as i was from doing it. Still a good time I guess, better than hermiting at the house all day.

To Blog...Or Not To Blog

All right, ladies and gentle men, it's time for my second blog... uhhh....so.... carry the one...damn it. Of course, it helps to have something to blog about. I'm not the kind of guy to just make a post saying something like:

"Hey, Im eating Pizza Pops..." (Which I am...) or

"At work, all day long..." (Which again, is true, sorry boss, eating my lunch, thy work will be done)

That just seems like a waste of my time and yours. This is why I dislike Twitter (yes, even though I am on Twitter), i don't need to hear that you are going to the bathroom or that you farted and it smelled like candy canes. BORING! That is not what I am about or looking to read so I'm not going to do that here. I don't understand how people can put so much time into thier online persona and then just drop crap down onto people. I like to sit down and cruise the net, and find interesting, and maybe even thought provoking things to read, watch, criticize. It absolutely blows my mind when i hear that some of those YouTube'rs actually get paid for the dribble that they produce. Like this guy, Fred on YouTube (You don't have to watch the whole thing, I promise):





This kid gets paid!!!! Almost 2 million people subscribe to his videos!!! What kind of world do we live in where this kid is considerd to be entertaining? I mean, I could easily film a video of me rambling about some stupid garbage for a couple minutes, change the pitch of my voice, and make money but i actually have some pride with my work. I like most things connected to my name to be something i would like to show my family. But i guess I'm of the minority.

I think I just blogged about hating other people's blogs...It's amazing how quick these things can write themselves.

Oh well, thats enough out of me for one day.

Welcome to SupaScoot In a Nutshell!!!

Hey everyone, welcome to the first blog EVER from me, your favorite superhero, SupaScoot. All right, now I'll be a little clearer. My name is Scott Fraser, and I write online under the screen name of SupaScoot. You can catch some of my written works on Bam!Kapow!, where I reported on news and information regarding basically anything superhero related.

This is different... I have plenty of opportunities to argue superhero semantics and other nerd related issues as SupaScoot, so here I'm going to talk about Scott Fraser; Me, myself and I. Thoughts and issues in my own personal life that I choose to tell you about, whether you like it or not. So if you clicked on this blog to hear my thoughts on who shot first, Han or Greedo... or whether or not I liked the 90's Spider-Man Clone Saga... or if I think the consumerism of Hollywood could be bastardizing the beloved comic stories I hold dear, well, you might still hear me talk about it, so DON'T click away. But I will also try to express more personal issues here, a therapeutic inner monologue, if you will. Maybe even participate in a cryfest here or there, you never know.
