'Green Lantern: Emerald Knights' Trailer

Plus an interview with Bruce Timm and a sneak peek at the cover art...

After the release of the awesome All-Star Superman last week, I was even more excited for DC's slate of animated movies this year. With the release of the new trailer for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, we get our first peak at the next animated feature to hit the small screen.

Splashpage reports:

In the film, Nathan Fillion voices Hal Jordan, with Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men") as Arisia, Henry Rollins as Kilowog, and various other notable actors voicing the heroes — and villains — of the Green Lantern Corps.
Late last year, we spoke to "Emerald Knights" producer Bruce Timm about the project, and while he stopped short of calling it a sequel to 2009's "Green Lantern: First Flight," he had this to say about the film:
"This one focuses directly on the other members of the Green Lantern Corps," he explained. "It's similar in format to the 'Batman: Gotham Knight' movie we did a couple of years ago, with six individual stories all tied up in an overall arc. ['Emerald Knights'] is similar in that each of the individual stories focuses on one of the other Green Lanterns."
"Green Lantern: Emerald Knights" arrives on shelves in June.
Looks pretty good, I like the separate interlocking stories, but if they were really trying to mimic Batman: Gotham Knight I would have loved to see a different art style throughout each of the stories. Fillion as Hal is a match made in fanboy heaven, so you can be assured I will be picking this one up.
And what's next you ask? Well it was previously mentioned that the movie to follow GL: EM was going to be based off of Miller and Mazzucchelli's Batman: Year One storyline, but no other news has been confirmed on that. Here's hoping we get to see a kick ass rendition of one of the best Batman stories ever told.
